Reporting to: Managing Director-Spline Gauges, England Overview: There is no existing incumbent in position or sales effort in this market. Success in this role could lead to a larger role within Danaher (2-3 years) . The primary, but not sole, focus of this role is to position and lead the Company in the correct industrial segments for sales growth. It is an ideal opportunity for a goal orientated achiever. Responsibilities: Competitive intelligence: Working with relevant industry sources:- i) Understand fully the markets in which the Company operates ii) Understand fully the competitor offerings, product differences, capacities, pricing and structures iii) Understand market place (end user) needs with respect to products, deliveries and price pressures. Strategic Planning: Lead the entry into the market to position the business for rapid sale growth Lead the Strategic Planning Process for this market. Sales Leadership: Plan the channels to market Identify and quantify sales within the target markets Manage the achievement of sales growth Innovation: Identify and drive new product development/additions Pricing Policies: Understand competitive pricing within the market place Regulate pricing to remain competitive, whilst optimising margin and recovery. Customer Base: Liase with the customer base to understand their exact needs in every respect Lead the drive to fully meet customer expectations Lead the communication process with the customer base. PERSONAL PROFILE/CHARACTERISTICS Ability to speak English Ability to travel outside of China. Minimum 4 -year Degree, from a Chinese university in related field, preferably engineering. Recognised Sales and/or marketing experience and /or qualification Industrial background (Automotive, Engineering, Aerospace) Ability to think in strategic terms, to visualise the long-term and overall picture Ability to understand technical aspects of business Articulate (able to communicate in both written and verbal terms) Professional and trustworthy Willingness to travel and relocate Willingness to work flexible hours Strong leadership ability Tenacious High sense of urgency Strong team player Entrepreneur Goal driven
