Job Title: Technical Manager Main Responsibilities: 1. Implement and enforce all applicable policies and procedures. 2. Supervise Electrical and Mechanical Supervisors. 3. Supervise training of associates to ensure a superior, technical skill base is maintained and improved on an on-going basis. 4. Develop and maintain communications within the department, plant and associate level. 5. Conduct periodical evaluations on the quality and quantity of work performed. 6. Implement and enforce as well as maintain proper documentation of Corporate Facility Environmental complaince. 7. Implement and maintain information related to development of policies and instructions for new and existing equipment including; start up, operating, and shut down of equipment. 8. Enforce appropriate safety programs as they relate to Physical Plant. 9. Oversee the maintenance of the following equipment (but not limited to:) 10. Boilers and related equipment, air compressors and plant air systems, all automatic fire protections equipment, power generators with support equipment, electrical power, HVAC systems including air washers and chillers,etc. Facility repairs including roof maintenance, sanitary facilities, parking lot, P.M. dusthouse and related equipment, all exhaust fans, Slasher maintenance, cleaning of hosit, conveyors, overhead blowers, lighting, overhead ceiling cleaning fans, drum and pallet disposal, trash compactor and dumpsters, required factory inspections, uniform hazardous waste manifest records, preconstruciton contractor forms and lawn sprinklers. 11. Ensure that Preventative Maintenance programs are in place and audit to confirm that programs are being followed in a timely manner. 12. Must make sure that plant is complainant with applicable regulations. 13. Manage vendor/ subcontractors as applicable.
EDUCATION: College/Mechanical/ technical university degree is preferred. EXPERIENCE: 5 years plus in a Maintentance Management position. Familiar with boilers, air compressors, HVAC and environmental issues. Experience with Textile equipment such as Air Jet Looms, Slashers, and Warpers is plus SKILLS: 3-5 years previous supervisory experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have computer skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
